Designed and manufactured in Ireland then built and installed by a team of Irish craftsman and artisan painters, Fadó Irish Pub and Restaurant on the 2nd floor of  900 South Miami Avenue in Miami’s Mary Brickell Village - just above Oceanaire -  is the fourteenth location of the restaurant across the country in such cities as Austin, Texas; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Denver; and Las Vegas.

Fadó Pubs Inc. CEO & President Kieran McGill grew up in Dublin, Ireland, where his father owned a small pub in the city’s center, and developed the concept of bringing an authentic Irish pub to the United States almost fifteen years ago. Fadó — Irish for "long ago” — is known for its genuine Irish hospitality, quality and “craic,” an Irish expression for fun and conversation.

The five-room restaurant - each themed after a known Irish pub - wood furniture and and pub’s Celtic imagery, the chrome beer pouring towers and the sophisticated, high-definition audiovisual packagefor watching sport while enjoying a vast list of European draught beers, all make for an extremely pleasant experience.

The menu of house-made Irish classics and contemporary American dishes offers a variety of Appetizers such as Guinness BBQ Wings with blue cheese and celery or in hot sauce and ale-flavored beef burgers topped with Guinness mayo, pickles, onions and melted cheese.

There are Soups, freshly-made Salads, and Sandwiches such as Corned Beef with apple and onion relish and Pulled Lamb. Entrees list signatures such as the Bangers and Mash on colcannon (a dish made traditionally of potato and curly kale), a delicious flash-fried Fish and Chips and Homemade Shepherd’s Pie as well as  Fadó’s “boxty.”

Boxty, the traditional Irish pancake is made with grated potatoes and prepared in a variety of ways such as with scrambled eggs, rashers, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, a touch of garlic and topped with hollandaise. Our appetizer of Smoked Salmon Bites with traditional cold oak-smoked salmon on crisp boxty “blini” with capers, onions, light horseradish sauce and lemon was definitely a notch above the pub food category.

The boxty is available for brunch, lunch and dinner with options such as the Breakfast Boxty Cheese Dip with a creamy blend of Irish cheddar, pepper jack cheese and green onion.  In addition there is  Blackened Chicken and Shrimp Boxty with tomatoes and mushrooms in a spicy cheese sauce and served with a side of fresh vegetables and more.

And for desserts there’s Black and Tan Brownie with Guinness Ice Cream; Harvest Bread Pudding; a sinfully moist and unctuous Crème Brûlée Cheesecake and Brown Bread Ice Cream topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce.

All day Irish Breakfast and weekend Brunch

Saturday and Sunday Brunch from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. lists breakfast items such as almond French toast served with raspberry Melba sauce, maple syrup; Irish Bacon Omelette with Spanish potatoes as well as the All-Day Irish Breakfast with eggs, Irish sausages, rashers, black and white pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and pan-fried potato bread, available all day .

Fadó is open seven days a week for  brunch, lunch, happy hour/“after work” with a menu of small plates, dinner and seasonal “local fare” Indoor and on the Outdoor Deck, Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.;  Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m..  By nightfall there is live music with acoustic and Celtic bands, pub quizzes and weekend dance parties.
