Seasons 52, a restaurant concept inspired by the seasons and the seasonal products of the farmer’s market —52 weeks a year — has opened its first Miami-Dade County location at 321 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. “Coral Gables is a beautiful city, and we see it as an ideal fit for our restaurant concept,” said Seasons 52 President Stephen Judge.  
 
The concept is "Nature" with tabletops encased with grains and natural dry goods; wood and stone walls and a ceiling reminiscent of the Eiffel tower's beams and bolts. The sophistication is at every corner, from the upholstered banquettes to the embossed plates and the different color napkins to fit the diners' clothes. The gleaming open kitchen is a lab of deliciously tasting, healthy dishes.
 
 
 The 300-seat restaurant’s menu engineered by  Senior Director of Culinary Development chef Clifford Pleau offers all items at  less than 475 calories . The dishes are prepared by chef Matt McCormick (left , in the photo) on a wood-fire grill or are baked, roasted and caramelized in a brick oven.
  
The menu lists signature flatbreads, including ripe plum tomato, spicy chipotle shrimp and garlic chicken; a variety of small and entrée salads; fish and seafood such as Caramelized sea scallops and Cedar plank roasted salmon; poultry and meat  as in Roasted rack of New Zealand lamb and Manchester Farms boneless quail breast.
 
dsc08571dsc08572Not to miss:  the salad - fresh baby lettuces with truffle oil, shaved parmesan and mushroom - that comes in a glass bell which is removed at the table.
To end the meal; Seasons 52’s mini indulgences – individual servings of classic desserts .
Master Sommelier George Miliotes offers100 different wines, including 60 available by the glass, in 26 different varietals. "I travel all over the world to find the wines that will pair well with our menu and will please our customers," he said at a luncheon this week.
 
dsc08576All the glasses are embossed with the logo "52" to let the servers know how much is 6 oz. of wine - the reponsible way of drinking. 

At night, the restaurant’s circular piano bar  features live music nightly. Seasons 52 offers amenities for groups and event dining, including private seating available for 80 to 100 guests and a chef’s table for smaller parties.

 

Seasons 52 debuted in 2003 and currently operates locations in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania and California.
