The grapes are sourced from a single vineyard in the northern province of Xingxia bordering Inner Mongolia.   The grapes are harvested twice: two third are harvested when they reach 12% alcohol and the rest are a late harvest when grapes are beginning to dry on the vines.  The wine is vinified under the supervision of Bruno Paumard, a sommelier, writer et former winemaker at the domaine de Bouvet-Ladubay in the Loire Valley. He has announced that 10,000 bottles of the  2010 vintage will be released.   Château Hansen has already released 2 million bottles of blends of cabernet gernischt, semillon et riesling, which are distributed and sold in China.
