chef johnson teh Finding time to make tasty and nutritious meals on a school night is tough. Luckily, Chef Johnson Teh is here to show you that it’s not as hard as it looks. Join him for his “Quick and Easy 30 Minute Meals” cooking class at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden on Wednesday, September 18 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

This class will teach you how to make Asian dishes that are easy, fast, inexpensive, and – most importantly – delicious. The menu includes savory kimchee fried rice, wonton soup, oyako donburi, spicy tofu salad, sesame chicken salad, and ramen.

Chef Johnson serves as executive chef of Yuga Restaurant in Coral Gables and Lan Pan Asian Café in Dadeland Station, which specialize in East and Southeast Asian cuisine. He has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years in major cities across the U.S. and now teaches monthly classes at Fairchild to show the Miami community how to cook the delicious Asian fare found in his restaurants.

The cooking class costs $45 for members and $60 for non-members. Space is limited. Call 305-667-1651, ext. 3322 to reserve a spot by Friday, September 13.  For additional information on Classes go to  Fairchild webpage for list of classes offered.

Fairchild is located at 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, FL 33156. For more info, call 305-667-1651 or visit www.fairchildgarden.org.
