To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month  ¡Buen Provecho!  a one-hour documentary hosted by chef Michelle Bernstein airs on Sunday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. on WPBT2. The program  traces  the Hispanic influence on Florida’s cuisine, from Ponce de Leon to present. The history lesson is served up alongside Chef Bernstein’s mouthwatering recipes, including her take on a Spanish-style cocido, a Minorcan pilau, a Cuban sandwich, and a Peruvian ceviche.  The documentary also features interviews with popular local chefs/restaurateurs Norman Van Aken of Tuyo, Douglas Rodriguez of d’Rodriguez Cuba, Felipe Valls, Jr. of Versailles, Jimmy Carey of Jimmy’Z Kitchen, and Juan Chipoco of Ceviche 105.
