Mercadito Midtown’s Chef/Partner Patricio Sandoval has created new BBQ-inspired dishes and grilled meats, seafood, fruits and vegetables for Miami’s summer with ingredients like fresh corn, pineapple, lemon-poached lobster, jicama, skewers of grilled shrimp and zesty mole-q sauce.  Among the new dishes, sharing-style,  theres’s Guacamole, Botanas −  Beef, pork and rice meatballs, requesón cheese, corn polenta, chipotle-tomato sauce; Tacos of Lemon-poached lobster, grilled scallions, pea hash, jalapeño-butter emulsion, crispy red onion; Wild mushrooms, tomato sofrito, queso fresco, salsa roja, crispy potato; or Chicken al carbon, avocado, corn, salsa verde, queso fresco ($15.50 for four); Entrées like Callo de Hacha ($21.50) Pan-seared diver scallops, huitlacoche, wild mushrooms, corn crema, and childe de árbol oil and Brochettas ($23.50), skewers of grilled shrimp & chimichurri, grilled steak & salsa toreada, smoked chicken & mole-q sauce. All watered down with build-your-own margaritas.
