The new Prohibition restaurant and speakeasy with dark wood floors, rich orange leather banquettes, exposed brick and a sign announcing that the “good old days are back” harkens back to the good old  1920s and 1930s, an era known for its style, appeal, prosperity and wild youth.

The menu created by owner and restaurateur Shawn Shanazi offers an array of both small and large plates with favorites likeTruffle Pasta (Sachetti stuffed with ricotta and truffle in a parmesan fondue); Hamachi Crudo (Jalapeño, sea salt and light ponzu); Char- Grilled Octopus (with sautéed corn, celery, cherry tomatoes, and baby fondant potatoes in our signature caper and olive relish); Wagyu Skirt Steak (12oz Skirt Steak served with scallion green rice and Chimichurri sauce); Seared Scallops (served with truffle potato sauce, crispy corn, bacon and spinach) and among many others. The cocktail menu is a throwback to the classics, featuring quintessential libations including the ‘sidecar,’ ‘old fashioned’ and ‘mojito.’

The second floor is a cozy speakeasy (lounge) “THE EIGHTEENTH," named after the Eighteenth Amendment which established the prohibition of alcoholic beverages in the United States by declaring the production, transport and sale of alcohol illegal.  The space is open for events, celebrations, music,  late night cocktails and after dinner drinks and dancing.

Prohibition Miami is open for dinner Monday to Thursday from 5:00 p.m. – midnight, 5:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and closed on Sundays.  3404 North Miami Avenue Miami, FL 33127, . (305) 431-9199
