Miami’s only oceanfront coastal Mexican-inspired restaurant —just steps from the ocean, is a great location to enjoy fresh Baja-style cuisine prepared by Chef Lupe Sanchez under a thatched roof canopy, complete with tiki torches, a fire pit, a bar rail and plush lounges. Menu include fresh ceviches, guacamole prepared tableside and lobster quesadillas. A Tequilier—a tequila specialist trained in Mexico—makes recommendations, leads tastings and suggests menu pairings from more than 85 premium tequilas. Open for lunch and dinner.

The lavishly appointed oceanfront restaurant is posh yet genteel and harmonious with delicious food pouring out of the kitchen. Vibrant starters like ceviche-like lobster salpicón martini and chilled melon soup with Sauterne gelée with a slice of bresaola are superb. The talented Chef Jordi Valles also excels at cooking meat like the Mediterranean-style surf-and-turf with braised veal cheeks topped with crunchy langoustines. $$$

The recently opened restaurant devotes two menu pages to dessert crêpes (owner Adriana Fatat studied crêpe making in France) with such offerings as Moliére, a flambe of cognac and strawberries, and Valery, fresh mangoes and kiwi in a chantilly sauce with fresh mint. Plus an array of galettes and salads, with several interesting entree selections. $$
