AT MOSAICO RESTAURANT (Formerly Fire House 4) EXECUTIVE CHEF JORDI VALLÈS has designed a prix fixe 3-course menu ($22) to celebrate Administrative Professionals Week 2004, April 18 - 24, 2004. The menu includes contemporary Spanish dishes like sparagus soup with Spanish Morcilla and quail egg; Spanish mackerel in escabeche with tomato confit and Romesco sauce; and lemon saffron brazo de gitano with pineapple soup and almond turrón ice cream. The à la carte luncheon menu is also available. INTERACTIVE COOKING CLASSES AT AZUL WITH CHEF MICHELLE BERNSTEIN. year's nominee for the James Beard Foundation's best chef/Southeast award, is now offering an interactive cooking class series in Azul's open kitchen at The Mandarin Oriental. Chef Michelle Bernstein will share her cooking tips and techniques with her students to prepare a three-course gourmet lunch which will be served in the restaurant and matched with wines selected by Azul's sommelier, Richard Hales. Students will receive recipe cards and cooking notes for easy step-to-step references and a certificate of participation and a signature Azul apron.
Classes are held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays: April 17, 2004 - Springtime Flavors; June 5, 2004 - Summer Desserts; August 7, 2004 - Jamaican Flavors; October 2, 2004 - Festive Fall; and December 4, 2004 - Cooking for the Holidays. PASCAL'S ON PONCE IS OFFERING AN EXPRESS BISTRO LUNCH priced at $16.95. Chef Pascal Oudin's Express Bistro menu will offer a choice of a soup or house garden salad with specials of the day such as Veal Marengo/Pomme Vapeur, Coq au Vin/Potato Boulangère, and Trout Farcie / Vegetable Pilaf. METRO KITCHEN + BAR'S WINEMAKERS DINNERS AND GOSPEL BRUNCH. POOLSIDE GRAZING AT THE DELANO HOTEL
At Blue Sky patrons can comfortably lounge at poolside tables or on poolside beds while nibbling on Mediterranean style appetizers & tapas -- Ceviche of Scallops ($ 15), Shrimp Empanadas ($10), Fried Piquillo Peppers with Goat Cheese ($ 9), or a substantial Seafood Platter with or without lobster. The menu includes risotti and pastas and a nice assortment of grilled fish, vegetables and meat -- Tamarind and citrus marinated shimp ($22); grilled chorizo and Merguez sausages 9($12 - $15); chicken paillard and beef. CACAO RESTAURANT INTRODUCES NEW CEVICHE BAR MENU. The traditional Latin American dish of raw fish marinated in citrus juice, onions, tomatoes and chilies (sometimes flavored with cilantro) is refreshingly suitable to Miami's tastes. Chef Edgar Leal's menu is available Monday through Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and includes mouth puckering delights such as Four Citrus Sea Scallop Ceviche; Snapper Tangerine Ceviche Red Snapper Ceviche With Avocado; Tuna Ceviche With a Trio of Peppers; Peruvian Tiraditos; Peruvian Black Ceviche With Squid Ink And Octopus and Tuna Ceviche With Mango..
