CHEFS’ FARMERS DINNER SERIES WITH CHEF ALLEN SUSSER
Every week beginning Wednesday, August 10 through Saturday, September 24, Chef Allen Susser will host Chef-Farmer Dinners, a dinner series to partner eight of South Florida’s top chefs with the Tropical Fruit Growers of South Florida. At each chef-farmer dinner, chefs will prepare four-course meals priced at $65 per person with Florida-grown tropical fruit such as lychee, dragon fruit and guava. Farmers will discuss the tropical fruits grown on their farms. A portion of the proceeds benefit SOS programs to feed the homeless. MIAMI SPICE RESTAURANT MONTHS: AUGUST – SEPTEMBER 2005
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is bringing back Miami Spice Restaurant Month for its fourth consecutive year for two months – August and September – sponsored by Campo Viejo wines, owned by Allied Domecq Wines USA. During Miami Spice, participating restaurants offer special prix fixe menus encompassing three courses (appetizer, entrée and dessert) for $30.05 (dinner) and $20.05 (lunch), both excluding tax and gratuity.
For each American Express Card purchase at participating restaurants American Express will donate $0.10 to United Way to help fight hunger.
