Maxim's de Paris targets gourmets and Russell Stover shoots for the devout

Everything burgeons in Spring… and I'm not only talking about plants. Ideas - the good, the bad or the ugly … churn, take shape and then become profitable, especially when it comes to taunt the palate… and the soul.

And when the subject matter is chocolate there's no limit to spring fever… To the clamor of newspapers headings ranging from: "Don't bear your cross -- eat it (Winnipeg Sun)" to "In bad taste? Chocolate crosses stir the passions (Boston Herald), " Kansas City-based Russell Stover Candies Inc., the third-largest chocolate manufacturer in the US, is mass-producing a chocolate cross and selling it in 5,000 stores nationwide.

Targeting another group of consumer, Maxim's de Paris, the famous restaurant which has been a symbol of exclusive and refined taste in Paris since 1893, is now exporting its exquisite chocolates and gourmet products to South Florida through La Maison du Soleil. www.lamaisondusoleil.com , also a retail store in Mizner Park, Boca Raton.
