Cocktail Hour with Mixologist Tony Abou Ganim
and Tequila Patrón
There is no worm in these tequilas! The
Patrón Tequilas are made from 100% blue agave (also called amaguey), the tall cactus
growing in the arid volcanic highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
If you don't want to savor it straight or drink it on the rocks, and if you want
to go beyond the Margarita, you can try mixing tequila with grapefruit or watermelon.
Just like Mixologist Tony Abou Ganim did at a Patrón Tequila Dinner in South Beach.
Abou Ganim, who earned kudos at the Bellagio in Las Vegas before becoming the spokesman
for Tequila Patrón, talked about the different types of tequila:
- Silver, the young tequila.
- Reposado, aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 6 months;
- Añejo, a delicate blend of vintage aged tequilas.
