BARTON G. LAUNCHES PRIVATE LABEL WINE PROGRAM, SOUTH BEACH

To celebrate the restaurant’s fourth anniversary and the introduction of a new Fall menu .Barton G. The Restaurant has launched a new wine list with six reasonably priced (from $48 to $60) Barton G cuvees: two Merlots, a Chardonnay, a Cabernet, a Sauvignon Blanc and a Pino Grigio made exclusively for Barton G. by boutique wine producers in France such as Chateau de By in the Medoc area of Bordeaux and Italy.
The wine program, which required nearly a year of research and tastings in European vineyards, is the brainchild of Stephane Hainaut, general manager of Barton G. The Restaurant, and Lionel Gallula, former Bordeaux-based winemaker, now general manager of Miami importer, Market Wine who designed labels that not only name the region where the wine but the name of the winery as well, including Chateau Pontac Monplaisir and Chateau de Fonbavet.
“We hope to bring even more sophisticated, complex and rare vintages into the picture in the future,” said Hainaut who wanted to match the restaurant’s over-the-top, whimsical food presentations and cuisine with wines designed and produced with the same imaginative creativity as that of the restaurant’s owner. Barton G. Weiss, also the owner of BGW Design Limited, Inc., an international events design/ production/ management concern, is renown for creating exciting theatrical and dramatic presentations. Barton G. The Restaurant is located at 1427 West Avenue, Miami Beach, (305) 672-8881 or visit www.bartong.com
