Food & Wine Talk, a culinary, cultural and lifestyle one-hour Radio program will now air weekly from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will simultaneously webcast on the Internet: live on www.wdna.org and with permanent access to the show and its audio archives on www.southfloridagourmet.com.

  • Carole Kotkin, is the manager of The Cooking School at The Ocean Reef Club. She is also food editor of Wine News Magazine, a syndicated Miami Herald food columnist, and co-author of MMMMiami-Tempting Tropical Tastes for Home Cooks Everywhere. She was editor of the first South Florida Zagat Restaurant Guide.
  • Simone Zarmati Diament, the founding publisher and editor of The South Florida Gourmet and SouthFloridaGourmet.com, is food editor of Gables Living magazine. She was editor of the first food supplement in a major Buenos Aires daily newspaper, and editor-in-chief of New York City in The Pocket.
  • They will be joined by wine expert Michael Bittel, co-owner of Sunset Corners Fine Wines and Liquors.

Food & Wine Talk will cover a variety of topics on all aspects of food, wine, books and travel to provide a listening experience at the cutting-edge of the food and wine scene with a dash of energy and innovation.

The Show will feature chefs and their recipes, new products and produce, restaurant reviews, interviews with cookbook authors and wine makers, food and wine destinations, and will answer questions on everything from ingredients to techniques.

"SAKE WEEK" APRIL 12 -16 at SUSHISAMBA dromo
To celebrate the end of Japan's sake brewing season and the April release of the unpasteurized namazake sake(spring sake), SUSHISAMBA locations nationwide will offer from April 12th through April 16th $59 sake inspired "omasake" tasting menus accompanied by $10 sake pairings, a fifty percent discount on most sakes and a "Sushi and Sake" seminar led by leading experts. 2ND ANNUAL DINING OUT FOR LIFE TO BENEFIT AIDS PROJECT FLORIDA
On Thursday, April 28, 2005, the 2nd Annual Dining Out For Life program in benefit of AIDS is a one-day charity event during which South Florida's top restaurants will donate 25% of their proceeds that day to provide medical services and to support HIV/AIDS research, education, prevention, and treatment. All participating restaurants in the one-day event are asked to donate 25% of that day's proceeds to APFL. To check the list of participating restaurants visit www.diningoutforlife.com.
Last year's Dining Out For Life event included 84 restaurants and 160 volunteers and raised over $38,000. More than 2,500 restaurants a year donate a portion of their proceeds from this one special night of dining. Over $2 million dollars a year is raised to support the missions of agencies throughout North America. With the exception of the annual licensing fee of $600, all money raised in these cities stays there.

FEEDING THE MIND FOUNDATION SEEKS FEMALE CHEF FOR 12-WEEK COURSE
to work part time for a group of women who are currently in a safe haven due to Domestic Violence. The women have been offered the opportunity of signing up for a 12 week course which will focus on preparing them for a future as a Chef here in Miami. The course is already written and is waiting for the right Female (only) chef to train them. This is a paying position: The pay is 20.00 per hour and the work week will be around 40 hours.
