JAMES BEARD PRIX FIXE MENU AT MOSAICO THROUGH JUNE 3
Upon returning from a successful dinner at the prestigious James Beard Foundation in New York City, Executive Chef Jordi Vallès is offering a five-course prix fixe dinner of the same menu at $70 per person, plus a four-wine pairing at $30 per person, at Mosaico Restaurant through June 3. "BON VIVANT SUMMER SERIES" AT CHEF CARMEN's RESTAURANT
Once a month on Wednesdays (June 8, July 6, August 3, and August 31) at 7 p.m, Chef Carmen Gonzalez and a top female visiting chef will serve an exclusive menu paired with boutique wines ($59.00 excluding tax and gratuity) such as Rudd Sauvignon Blanc , Scott Paul Pinot Noir, Sonador Cabernet Sauvignon and finishing with Mer Soleil Dessert wine. FIRST TIBETAN TEA CEREMONY AT THEINE, JUNE 11.
The Buddhist Monks from Gaden Shartse Monastery participating in the Sacred Earth & Healings Arts of Tibet World Tour 2005 will be holding a Tibetan Tea Ceremony at Theine on June 11, at 4 p.m.. This fundraising tour is a promotional and educational tour to share cultural experiences, teach Buddhist ideology and the effect of spiritual empowerment. ARS MAGIRICA ANNOUNCES RECIPE CONTEST FOR KIDS
To promote its summer camps the Coral Gables cooking school and culinary store announces A Kids Recipe Contest in which kids ages 6 to 15 can enter a favorite original recipe and win a scholarship to its summer cooking camp. In addition, the winning recipes will appear on Ars Magirica's website and will be used as part of the cooking camp curriculum. Recipes will be accepted for the following three categories: breakfast items, main dishes, and desserts, and judged for the cooking time (20 minutes or less), creativity and originality, taste and method of preparation. "BRING IN THE SEASON" MENU AT MAX'S GRILLE
Max's Grille will offer a spring/summer discounted menu for early diners Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The specially-priced three course menu, ranges from $18 to $23 per person, depending on choice of entrée, and two guests dining together can add a bottle of Stone Cellars chardonnay or merlot for an additional $2 per person; or enjoy a cocktail made with house vodka, gin, rum, bourbon or tequila for $2 a drink.
