'HEALING ARTS OF TIBET' EVENT AT MANDARIN ORIENTAL, MIAMI, JUNE 8.
In collaboration with the Gaden Shartse Monastery, Mandarin Oriental has invited a select group of Tibetan monks to perform a series of rituals for guests, including healing and empowerment seminars, private Tibetan astrology readings and the exclusive opportunity to witness Sand Mandala creations.
The journey begins on Wednesday, June 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with:
- an introductory seminar on Menla or otherwise known as Medicine Buddha held in The Spa's Chi Studio. Through this informative lecture, guests will learn the strength of the mind and the major role it plays in the process of healing. Cost: $30 per person.
- a private Tibetan Astrology Reading offered on Wednesday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Cost for an hour-long individual session is $100 per person.
This event concludes on June 13 through 15 as guests join Buddhist teachers as they chant and construct a Sand Mandala masterpiece located in the hotel lobby. Once the sand mandala is completed, guests can join in witnessing a truly authentic Tibetan closing ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on June 15. Voluntary donations are welcomed. The Buddhist Monks from Gaden Shartse Monastery participating in the Sacred Earth & Healings Arts of Tibet World Tour 2005 will be holding a Tibetan Tea Ceremony at Theine on June 11, at 4 p.m.. This fundraising tour is a promotional and educational tour to share cultural experiences, teach Buddhist ideology and the effect of spiritual empowerment. Once a month on Wednesdays (June 8, July 6, August 3, and August 31) at 7 p.m, Chef Carmen Gonzalez and a top female visiting chef will serve an exclusive menu paired with boutique wines ($59.00 excluding tax and gratuity) such as Rudd Sauvignon Blanc , Scott Paul Pinot Noir, Sonador Cabernet Sauvignon and finishing with Mer Soleil Dessert wine.
