July 30-August 8, Key West Food & Wine Festival,
A SUMMER WEEK FULL OF EXPLORATION OF FOOD AND WINE
for visitors to Key West between Friday, July 30 and Sunday August 8. Thirty six events combine sheer fun with cocktails and sunset dinners, wine dinners, lobster dinners, cooking classes. On August 1, 4:30 to 7 p.m., the 10th Annual Master Chef's Classic - one of the Keys' favorite gourmet events in benefit of the Monroe Association for Retarded Citizens - includes tasting the cuisine of ten of the Keys' finest restaurants and chefs such as Alice Weingarten of Alice's Key West; Executive Chef Matthew Cox and Sophia. Square One Restaurant; Chef Michael Mosi of Antonia's Restaurant, and Chef Gail Brockway of Old Town Mexican Café. The Master Chefs Classic will be held at Pier House Resort and Caribbean Spa, One Duval St., Tickets $40 per person in advance or $45 at the door; select wines from Penfolds for an additional $15. INTERACTIVE COOKING CLASS AT BILTMORE HOTEL
Saturday, July 31st, noon the Cellar Club at the Biltmore Hotel will offer an Interactive Cooking Class with Chef Rick Boyer from the 27Ocean Blue restaurant at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. The Interactive Cooking Class will feature cooking demonstration, and a Luncheon with Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte. Granada Ballroom. Biltmore Hotel. 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables. A TASTE OF SUMMER AT TALULA'S
Summer promises to be good with Chefs Andrea Curto-Randazzo and Frank Randazzo's specials.. Everyday, except Saturday, from 6 - 8pm Talula will offer a prix fixe, three-course dinner for $30, with a selection of specially priced wines. Tuesday through Friday, from noon to 2:30 p.m., there is a lunch box special for $20.04, to be enjoyed indoor or in the courtyard garden patio. Talula is closed on Mondays. BISCAYNE WINE MERCHANTS BISTRO CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY
