SAVOR GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE RESTAURANT MONTHS, Through OCTOBER, 2004.
A two-month celebration of Fort Lauderdale's culinary and cultural offerings, for which participating restaurants prepare three-course menu selections at affordably fixed prices. Participants include: 15th Street Fisheries, 3030 Ocean, Boulevard Café, Bin 595, Bistro Mezzaluna, Black Orchid Café, Bravo Ristorante, Cafe Del Mar, The Capital Grille, Eduardo de San Angel, Frankie's Pier 5, The French Quarter, Indigo at the Riverside Hotel, La Marina Restaurant, Louie Louie Italian Bistro, Mancini's Ristorante, Mangos Restaurant & Lounge, Mark's Las Olas, Shirttail Charlies, Sweetsop Supper Club, Tamarind Asian Grill, Trina Restaurant and Windows at Ireland's.

Camus Cognac Week, Monday October 4 to Saturday October 9. During the Camus Cognac Week, diners at more that 25 of Broward County's finest restaurants will have the opportunity to enjoy Camus' award-winning Joséphine cognac with dessert when ordering a fixed-price meal off of the SAVOR lunch and dinner menus. In addition, diners can enter to win a bottle of Camus' Jubilée, an anniversary blend presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter created by French designer Serge Manceau (retail value: $800).

THE GREAT MATCH WINE & TAPAS, OCTOBER 14, FEATURES MORE THAN 200 OF SPAIN'S RENOWNED WINES
and South Florida chefs including Arthur Artiles, Norman Van Aken's Mundo; Elizabeth Barlow, The Purple Dolphin; Zach Bell, Café Boulud Palm Beach; Michael Blum, Michael's Kitchen; Jeffrey Brana, Norman's; Maria Frumkin, Duo; Benito Meneses, Rincon Español; Douglas Rodriguez, Ola; Jordi Valles, Salero; Philippe Ruiz, Palme d'Or, who will create global tapas to pair with Spanish wines. More than 200 wines representing many of Spain's 63 wine producing regions will be available for tasting on Thursday, October 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables. Admission is $45 per person in advance; $55 at the door. 100% of the proceeds will go to help support the Daily Bread Food Bank, South Florida's food rescue and hunger relief agency. WINE CLASSES AND SEMINARS AT MOSAICO RESTAURANT
Mosaico Restaurant in the historic Fire-House Four building in Brickell and sommelier Alejandro Ortiz will be hosting a series of wine dinners and wine seminars in the upcoming months:
Tuesday, October 5th , Wine II: The Art of Tasting Revisited. 7.p.m. An in-depth look at the wine world: Terroir (Does dirt matter?) will be one of the overall themes of this wine seminar. We will compare and contrast New-World wines to Old-World standards and confront issues such as "…to oak, or not to oak?" which will deepen your understanding of the magic and intricacies of the wine world. Cost: $30
Wednesday, October 6th, Columbus and the Grape (Wine Dinner) "Discover" the path that the 'noble-grapes' of Europe took into the New World and how its introduction changed the history of wine all around the world-forever.
Monday October 11th. Wine Seminar.
Wednesday, November 3rd, Sherry Dinner, a multi-course meal paired with exciting wines from Jerez. Everyhting from single-vineyard Manzanilla sherries to a 1922 Amontillado and a 1975 Pedro Ximenez.
Thursday, December 2nd, Entertaining and Wining for the Holidays. An informal but elegant workshop of wines for the holiday season: from 'cocktail' wines to big-name superstars not to mention sparkling wines for toasting and holiday-food-friendly wines.
