SOUTH BEACH WINE& FOOD FESTIVAL TRIBUTE DINNER TO FERRAN ADRIÀ
Tickets go on sale October 20, 2005 for Decoding Ferran Adrià:The Tribute Dinner(price: $600 per person). A select group will be able to share the table with the celebrated chef owner of El Bullì in Catalonia and enfant terrible of Spanish cuisine Ferran Adrià on Saturday, February 25, 7p.m. to 11p.m., at a dinner in his honor, orchestrated and prepared by some of his colleagues and friends at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Miami Beach
Emceed by Anthony Bourdain and spearheaded by Adrià's good friend José Andrés, the Tribure Dinner will feature the creations of some of the world's top chefs in a salute to the master of modern cuisine.
The evening will begin with a Champagne Gosset reception hosted by Emeril Lagasse (Emeril's, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Orlando, Atlanta) and NormanVan Aken (Norman's, Coral Gables, Orlando, Los Angeles) followed by a seven-course dinner prepared by chefs José Andrés (Jaleo, Café Atlantico,Zaytinya, Washington D.C.); Thomas Keller (Per Se, New York; French Laundry, Yountville);Gray Kunz (Café Gray, New York); Nobu Matsuhisa (Nobu, worldwide; Matsuhisa, Aspen, Beverly Hills); Jean-GeorgesVongerichten (Jean-Georges Management LLC); MarcEhrler (Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Miami Beach), and Pierre Hermé (Pâtisserie Pierre Hermé, Paris).
Decoding Ferran Adrià:The Tribute Dinner is the centerpiece of the 2006 South Beach Wine &Food; Festival set to take place February 24-26, 2006, hosted by Southern Wine& Spirits of Florida and Florida International University (FIU). HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH AT MOSAICO AND SALERO, DOWNTOWN MIAMI
Through October 15, 2005, Mosaico and Salero Restaurants celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with prix-fixe dinners showcasing the culinary evolution of Spain. On Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 7:30 p.m., Pascal's on Ponce which celebrated its fifth anniversary, , is hosting in conjunction with Books & Books of Coral Gables a special dinner and book signing for Julie Powell's novel, Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen - How One Girl Risked Her Marriage, Her Job, & Her Sanity to Master the Art of Living (Little, Brown & Company, $23.95).
